Open Access Policy

The Journal of Marine and Coastal Sciences, REVMAR, provides immediate Open Access to its content under the principle of making research freely available to the public, which fosters a greater exchange of global knowledge among researchers.

The Journal of Marine and Coastal Sciences is Open Access and does not charge authors for publication, nor does it commit to remunerate authors, since they cede the right to publish their articles. This allows users to have full and free access to the electronic content. This means that users can read, download, store, print, search, index, use as data for software and link to the full text of this journal. It also allows to distribute the article in the pre-print, post-print and official versions published by REVMAR, without asking prior permission to the editor or the author, as long as it is done without commercial purposes, share alike and mention the source and authorship of the work (a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License).

Gratuity: The Journal of Marine and Coastal Sciences, REVMAR does not charge for admission, editorial processing or publication of articles.

The Journal of Marine and Coastal Sciences subscribes to the Budapest Declaration BOAI 2002 and its subsequent updates.
