Resumen

El cambio climático se ha convertido en una de las principales amenazas para la biodiversidad y los procesos biológicos. Las altas temperaturas afectan negativamente diversos aspectos de la historia de vida de las tortugas marinas, tanto en la playa como en el mar, por lo que el aumento de la temperatura por el cambio climático, puede ser altamente perjudicial para sus poblaciones. Existen estrategias de mitigación que pueden ser utilizadas para evitar extinciones locales, como la irrigación, uso de sombras y reubicación de huevos a viveros. Sin embargo, es importante aplicarlas correctamente y de manera específica para cada población, cuando éstas se vean negativamente afectadas por el cambio climático.
