Urban impact on the waterscape of the Santa Rosa Jáureguisubwatershed, Querétaro, Mexico

El paisaje hídrico en las cuencas periurbanas suele verse afectado por el grado de urbanización de las regiones que sustentan el flujo de agua. El presente trabajo analizó el impacto urbano en el paisaje hídrico de la subcuenca de Santa Rosa Jáuregui en Querétaro, México. El proceso consistió en la representación y descripción de la urbanización, los recursos hídricos e hidráulicos, las zonas funcionales, el uso del suelo y la vegetación entre 1990 y 2024, incluyendo las relaciones sociales que intervienen en las transformaciones del paisaje acuático. Así, la urbanización de las zonas de transporte y almacenamiento de agua se evidenció mediante acciones inmobiliarias y la proliferación de pozos para la extracción de agua. Concluimos con la necesidad
de proteger la zona alta de la subcuenca (captación de agua). Estos hallazgos proporcionan información que debe considerarse en los planes y programas urbanísticos y territoriales.
