MAMMOMONOGAMUS LARINGEUS EN COSTA RICA

Mediante un muestreo efectuado en un matadero en 547 bovinos de la raza Brahman, se comprobó la existencia del Mammomonogamus laringeus (Railliet, 1899), en Costa Rica. Este estudio dió como resultado 256 animales positivos (46,Bºto) y 291 negativos (53,2°to). El número de parásitos por animal osciló desde una pareja hasta 62 parejas de Mammomonogamus laringeus, asimismo se describen las lesiones histopatológicas provocadas por el verme.
