DERMATOFILOSIS: REPORTE DE UN BROTE EN COSTA RICA

Se reporta un brote de Dermatofilosis en bovinos de las razas Simental y Pardo Suizo en el cantón de Cañas, provincia de Guanacaste, Costa Rica. Se diagnostica el ínicamente y se toman muestras para confirmación del diagnóstico en el laboratorio. Se procede al aislamiento del agente etiológico, según la técnica de Haalstra (1965) y se logra obtener en cultivo puro Dermatophilus congolensis.
