Abstract

The introduction of the methodology of GPS for topographic and geodesic applications show the well-known separation of reference system both in horizontal and vertical. With GPS the positioning is three-dimensional, but the height concept differs from the classic one. If the desire is to use the altitude information the undulation of the geoid must be contemplated.
