Abstract

The foreign policy of the United States consistsof three main categories of human rights:a) the right to personal integrity, b) the rightto satisfy the economic needs and b) the rightto satisfy the economic c) civil and politicalrights. Respect for human rights contributesdirectly to reducing the causes of tension andinstability in a country, the most dangeroussource of the latter is the economic, so that USsupport for human rights is also given from aneconomic dimension, besides the promotionof human rights it is the only one who can offera long term solution of one of the major issueson the international agenda: the problemof refugees.
